Simpson Thacher represented Blackstone / GSO Strategic Credit Fund (the “Fund) in connection with its initial public offering of common shares of beneficial interest. The offering raised approximately $834.8 million or $960 million if the underwriters exercise their overallotment option in full.
The Fund is a newly organized, non-diversified, closed-end management investment company which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “BGB.” The Fund's primary investment objective is to seek high current income, with a secondary objective to seek preservation of capital, consistent with its primary goal of high current income. GSO / Blackstone Debt Funds Management LLC is the Fund’s investment adviser.
