Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP received three Global Insurance Elite Awards in the categories of US Market – Litigation, US Market – Claims and US Market – Reinsurance, by Intelligent Insurer in their Summer 2012 list of ‘The Legal Elite’. Intelligent Insurer’s annual legal survey aims to discover which law firms and lawyers are leaders in the insurance and reinsurance field. The Awards recognized the Firm as a market leader for US litigation, claims and reinsurance. Simpson Thacher litigation partners Barry R. Ostrager and Mary Kay Vyskocil were also selected as US Market – Outstanding Individuals on the Intelligent Insurer list of ‘The Legal Elite’ for 2012. Mr. Ostrager and Ms. Vyskocil will accept the awards on behalf of the Firm at an awards dinner held in London in the Fall of 2012 (which many clients and prospective clients will attend).

The leading law firms and individuals were selected based on research collected from a variety of sources throughout the insurance, reinsurance and legal industries.
