Simpson Thacher Represents Dollar General Corporation in Public Offering of Senior Notes

The Firm recently represented Dollar General Corporation in connection with its public offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.125% Senior Notes due 2017.  Dollar General used the net proceeds from the sale of the Notes, together with cash on hand, to redeem its existing senior subordinated notes and to pay related premium and accrued interest.

 

Dollar General is the largest discount retailer in the United States by number of stores, with over 10,000 stores located in 40 states, offering a broad selection of merchandise, including consumables, health and beauty products, seasonal products, pet supplies, home products and apparel.
