Simpson Thacher represented KKR in its acquisition of an approximate 50% stake in Fotolia Holdings, Inc. (Fotolia), an online stock photography manager, for approximately $150 million. The transaction closed on June 21, 2012.
Founded in 2005, Fotolia offers its users over 17 million digital images and videos. The company is the leading microstock photography platform in Europe and is positioned among the top global stock photography websites.
