Corporate restructuring and bankruptcy associate Jay D. Rao has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Columbia Law School Association. The Columbia Law School Association communicates the interests and concerns of alumni to the faculty and administration of Columbia Law School, informs the public at large of noteworthy developments at Columbia Law School, encourages financial and moral support for Columbia Law School, makes recommendations to the Dean of Columbia Law School regarding alumni and supporters of Columbia Law School worthy of special recognition, and generally keeps alumni and supporters connected to Columbia Law School.
Apart from his service to Columbia University at the Columbia Law School Association, Jay is the Secretary of the Columbia University Club of New York and a member of the Board of Governor’s Executive Committee. Previously, he had chaired various Club committees, including the Nominating Committee, Program Committee and Young Alumni Committee. In addition, Jay serves on the Board of Directors of The Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems.
