Simpson Thacher Wins 2012 Burton/ALA Award for Outstanding Authoritative Book

Simpson Thacher received the 2012 Burton/ALA Award for Outstanding Authoritative Book by a Partner in a Law Firm for “Reflections on Dodd-Frank: A Look Back and a Look Forward,” a compendium of articles that review and analyze key rulemaking developments over the past year.  The compendium includes articles from several practice areas, including financial institutions M&A, capital markets, bank regulatory, insurance, private funds, litigation and enforcement, derivatives and bankruptcy and restructuring.  The compendium was the result of an outstanding team effort by attorneys across both corporate and litigation practice areas throughout the Firm, including Maripat Alpuche, Thomas Bell, Peter Bresnan, Mark Chorazak, Elizabeth Cooper, Paul Curnin, Steven DeLott, Jason Friedman, Nicholas Goldin, Peter Gordon, Elisha Graff, Olga Gutman, Gary Horowitz, Andrew Keller, Joshua Levine, Stacie McGinn, Lee Meyerson, Ellen Reilly Patterson, Lesley Peng, Gary Rice, Thomas Rice, Glenn Sarno, Chi Shum, Mark Stein, Alan Turner, Michael Wolitzer and Joyce Xu.  To view the compendium please click here

 

This award is given to a law firm whose book is an important contribution to the legal profession, and its content is comprehensive in scope, informative, incisive, and is an important reference and informational tool.  The 2012 Burton/ALA Awards dinner was held at the Library of Congress on June 11, 2012.
