Simpson Thacher Obtains Dismissal of Securities Complaint Against J.P. Morgan and KBW

On March 29, 2012, Judge Sue L. Robinson of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware dismissed a securities class action against Wilmington Trust Corporation (“WTC”) and related defendants.  The Firm filed a motion to dismiss on behalf of J.P. Morgan and KBW in their capacity as underwriters of WTC’s February 2010 offering of over $270 million of common stock, and separate motions to dismiss were filed by the other defendants.  The District Court dismissed the complaint in its entirety.
