The Firm represented Reed Elsevier’s LexisNexis Legal & Professional division in connection with its acquisition of Portfolio Media Inc., the owner of Law360, an online provider of breaking legal news and analysis for business lawyers, primarily in the United States. Law360 will continue to run as a standalone business within LexisNexis. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Simpson Thacher team working on this deal includes: Rhett Brandon, Mark Pflug, Jeremy Saks, Els Boonacker, Matt Levy and Chelsea Freeman (Corporate); Vanessa Cohen (Tax); Mindy Lok (Intellectual Property); and Greg Grogan and Jennifer Pepin (Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits).
