The Firm will host a breakfast roundtable on “International Investment Arbitration in the Latin American Context” on Thursday, April 12 at 8 am. The event is a part of Yale Law School’s Latin American Legal Studies program and will be held at the Firm’s New York office. A select panel of prominent academics and practitioners will participate, including Michael Reisman, Myres S. McDougal Professor of International Law, Yale Law School, and Simpson Thacher partner Peter Thomas. The event will encompass both theoretical and practical discussion of recent developments in Latin America regarding annulments, multiparty arbitration, the impact of national laws, the involvement of local courts, media coverage, fraud and corruption.
The event is open to all lawyers practicing in the field, and CLE credit is available to New York participants upon satisfaction of New York Bar Association requirements. To register for the event, please click here.
