Simpson Thacher represented the underwriters, led by Goldman, Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Barclays Capital Inc. and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. in connection with the registered public offering by Regions Financial Corporation of approximately $900 million of common stock.
Regions Financial Corporation is the parent company of Regions Bank, one of the nation’s largest full-service providers of consumer and commercial banking, trust, securities brokerage, mortgage and insurance products and services. Regions Financial Corporation intends to use proceeds from this offering, in conjunction with proceeds from its sale of Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc., to repurchase its Series A preferred Stock held by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
