Simpson Thacher corporate partner Todd Crider has been named by Latin Business Chronicle as one of its Top 50 Legal Stars, which recognizes foreign lawyers operating in Latin America. Mr. Crider was acknowledged for his involvement in several major deals, including representing Mitsubishi Corporation in connection with its acquisition of a 20% stake in Los Grobo Ceagro do Brasil; HRT Participações em Petróleo S.A. in connection with its US$746.8 million arrangement with UNX Energy Corp; and Jefferies and J.P. Morgan in connection with the US$370 million initial equity offering by CFR Pharmaceuticals S.A. of Chile.
Attorneys named as Top Legal Stars were selected based on a number of criteria, including involvement in recent prominent deals and transactions in Latin America, prominence of the lawyer’s law firm in Latin America and rankings by third parties such as Chambers and Partners.
