The twenty-fourth annual Tulane Corporate Law Institute will be held March 8 – March 9, 2012 in New Orleans. The Institute has been called “the equivalent of Davos for the rainmaker crowd” by The New York Times and “the most important gathering of its kind” by Corporate Control Alert. (Click here to view the Tulane website and brochure.) Mr. Spatt is the Co-Chairman Emeritus of the Institute and will moderate the panel entitled “Selling the Deal.” In addition, Mr. Spatt has once again updated for the Institute his oft-cited article on deal jumping, “The Four Ring Circus – Round Sixteen; A Further Updated View of the Mating Dance Among Announced Merger Partners and an Unsolicited Second or Third Bidder.”
A downloadable version of this article can be found on the Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP website along with a marked version showing changes from the prior “Round Fifteen” of this article to facilitate the identification of updated data.
