Simpson Thacher was recently recognized by FinanceAsia for the "Best China Deal" and "Best Taiwan Deal" awards for 2011.
The Firm received the "Best China Deal" award for our representation of Home Inns & Hotels Management Inc. in connection with its $470 million acquisition of Motel 168. The Firm received the "Best Taiwan Deal" award for our representation of Credit Suisse Securities (Hong Kong) Limited and J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd., as initial purchasers, in connection with the $826 million international offering of global depositary shares by China Steel Corporation.
