Simpson Thacher partner Kevin J. Arquit, head of the Firm’s Antitrust practice, received the 2011 Children’s Action Award from the North Country Children’s Clinic. Mr. Arquit was honored for the work he has done in supporting the provision of pediatric psychiatry services to underserved children in northern New York, in particular those who have lost a parent in Afghanistan or Iraq, which occurs frequently due of the proximity of the Children’s Clinic to Fort Drum, home of the United States Army 10th Mountain Division. The Children’s Clinic has designed six programs to provide care to children and families including: Dental; Mental Health; School Based Health; WIC/Teen Pregnancy; Pediatric Medical Care; and Family Health Insurance.
