Simpson Thacher represented Domino Printing Sciences plc (LON: DNO), a leading developer of ink jet and laser printers and coding technologies based in the United Kingdom, in its joint venture with NewMarket Impressions LLC, a company controlled by affiliates of The Yucaipa Companies, LLC and based in Los Angeles.  The venture will provide a comprehensive coding and traceability system for eggs that will assist manufacturers and distributors in complying with federal regulations and preventing food-borne disease associated with the consumption of eggs.  Domino invested $50 million in exchange for a 15% equity interest in the venture, and entered into exclusive equipment and service agreements for the ink jet and laser printers and coding technologies to be used in the business.
