Simpson Thacher Represents Nielsen Holdings N.V. in $1.64 Billion Initial Public Offering and Concurrent $250 Million Mandatory Convertible Subordinated Bonds Offering

The Firm recently represented Nielsen Holdings N.V. ("Nielsen"), a portfolio company of AlpInvest Partners, The Blackstone Group, The Carlyle Group, Centerview Partners, Hellman & Friedman, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Thomas H. Lee Partners (together, the “Sponsors”) in connection with Nielsen’s initial public offering of common stock and a concurrent offering of mandatory convertible subordinated bonds.  A total of approximately $1.64 billion in proceeds was raised in the initial public offering and approximately $250 million in proceeds was raised in the bond offering.   Nielsen’s common stock is now listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “NLSN.”
