Simpson Thacher advised the initial purchasers on a $300 million debt offering by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (“CPChem”). RBS Securities Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC were the joint book-running managers. CPChem was formed in 2000 through the combination of the then-existing chemicals and plastics businesses and assets of Chevron Corporation and Phillips Petroleum Company (now ConocoPhillips).
