Simpson Thacher represented the Annie and Willie Foundation, Inc., a charity created by the celebrated author, Dr. Maya Angelou, in the acquisition of Dr. Angelou's personal archive by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture of the New York Public Library. The acquisition is to be officially announced at a press conference Friday in Harlem featuring Dr. Angelou and Schomburg Director Howard Dodson.
