Simpson Thacher partner Kevin Arquit has been named to Law360's list of the 10 Most Admired Competition Attorneys.  Law360 said his "pragmatic approach to antitrust law and his experience at the Federal Trade Commission have helped him guide some of the most high-profile mergers in recent years." 

Law360 highlighted some of Arquit's exemplary antitrust work on deals such as the $3.5 billion Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. and XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. merger, Google Inc.'s $750 million acquisition of AdMob Inc. and Intelsat's $4.3 million purchase of rival PanAmSat Corp.

Law360 invited readers to nominate attorneys they admire to be profiled for the "Most Admired" series. Survey participants were not permitted to nominate attorneys from their own firms, and submissions from public relations and marketing professionals were not considered.  Separately, Law360 sought out nominations from practice group heads at the 100 largest law firms in the United States.  In total, 1,016 nominations were received.  Nominations were reviewed by a board comprising experienced lawyers and Law360 editorial staff. Sixty-five attorneys covering seven practice areas of the law were then selected to be profiled for the "Most Admired" series.
