Simpson Thacher partner Bill Russell was recently appointed to the Chief Judge’s Attorney Emeritus Council by New York State Court of Appeals Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman. The Council advises the Chief Judge and others on how to maximize pro bono representation by retired lawyers. The Council is chaired by John D. Feerick and Fern Schair.
