The Firm represented Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc., as initial purchasers, in connection with an offering of $250 million of 5.50% Notes due 2020 by Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. The offering was conducted in reliance upon Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933.
Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A., a Chilean mining and chemical company, is the world’s largest integrated producer of potassium nitrate, iodine and lithium carbonate. It also produces other specialty plant nutrients, iodine and lithium derivatives, potassium chloride and certain industrial chemicals (including industrial nitrates). It sells its products in over 100 countries.
