Simpson Thacher is representing Hellman & Friedman in its announced acquisition of Datatel, Inc. from current stockholders including affiliates of Thoma Bravo, Trident Capital, HarbourVest Partners and JP Morgan Asset Management. Datatel is a provider of technology, products and services to higher education institutions, including colleges, universities and technical schools across North America. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
