Simpson Thacher partners Marissa Wesely and Marni Lerner will participate in the 2009 DirectWomen Board Institute to be held on October 29 - 30, at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. Ms. Lerner is part of the 2009 faculty and will be instructing on a case study called "Board Deliberations: Practical Aspects and Crisis Management" on Thursday, October 29th. Approximately 20 nationally prominent women attorneys are selected each year to attend the DirectWomen Board Institute. Ms. Wesely is on the Executive Committee of DirectWomen and will be introducing the honorees at the Sandra Day O'Connor Board Excellence Awards luncheon on Friday, October 30th. The Sandra Day O'Connor Board Excellence Award honors women attorneys for their service on public company boards.
