Simpson Thacher Receives Pro Bono Award from Legal Community Against Violence

On July 15, 2009, Simpson Thacher received a Pro Bono award from the Legal Community Against Violence (LCAV) at LCAV's 16th Anniversary Dinner in San Francisco. LCAV is a public interest law center dedicated to preventing gun violence. Founded by lawyers, LCAV is the country’s only organization devoted exclusively to providing legal assistance in support of gun violence prevention. Simpson Thacher attorneys who have done pro bono work for LCAV include Alexis Coll-Very, Adam Anderson, Simona Strauss, Michael Lopez and a number of former summer associates. Simpson Thacher litigation partner Alexis Coll-Very accepted the award on behalf of the Firm.
