Simpson Thacher is representing Perdigão S.A., one of Brazil’s largest food companies, in connection with its business combination with Sadia S.A., another large Brazilian food company, and the related financing.
Perdigão will change its name to BRF-Brasil Foods S.A. and incorporate Sadia S.A. through a Brazilian law merger, after which Sadia will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of BRF.
The Simpson Thacher team for the transaction includes Glenn Reiter, John Ericson, Grenfel Calheiros and Jonathan Lieberman (Corporate).
