Simpson Thacher represents JPMorgan on behalf of a Special Committee of the Board of Directors of Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. (CME), the TV station operator founded by cosmetics heir Ronald Lauder, in a $241.5 million investment by Time Warner Inc. in CME. In the transaction, Time Warner will buy 14.5 million Class A shares and 4.5 million Class B shares of CME, amounting to a 31 percent stake in the company. The transaction is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.
