Simpson Thacher and Accenture hosted a Women in Non-Profit Board Leadership Breakfast at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. The program focused on how to lead non-profit organizations in navigating the challenges of the current economic climate. Simpson Thacher tax partner Marcy G. Geller and Accenture partner Laila J. Worrell served as co-chairs of the event. Diana L. Taylor, a Managing Director of Wolfensohn & Company, L.L.C., served as moderator for the event and the panel included Simpson Thacher exempt organizations partner Victoria B. Bjorklund, Shelly Lazarus, Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Kavita N. Ramdas, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Global Fund for Women, and Silda Wall Spitzer, a Managing Director of Metropolitan Capital Advisors, Inc.  The moderator and panelists serve on many national and local non-profit boards.
