Simpson Thacher litigation partner Peter H. Bresnan will participate in a panel entitled "Securities Law in Today's Environment: Regulatory Investigations, Litigation & Compliance" at the New York City Bar on Oct. 24, 2008. The program will cover major issues regarding Securities Act and Exchange Act violations; M&A and financing litigation issues; and regulatory investigations and compliance issues. Mr. Bresnan and other members of the faculty will examine recent government investigations involving subprime securities and auction rate securities and discuss the impact of the credit crisis on government investigations.
