Simpson Thacher litigation associate Juan A. Arteaga spoke on a panel entitled "Boiler Room: Hot Topics in Securities Law" on September 4, 2008 as part of the National Hispanic Bar Association's annual conference held in Los Angeles. The panel focused on the globalization of U.S. securities laws and recent enforcement actions concerning day trading, stock option backdating and insider trading. The other panelists were Jose Sanchez, Partner, Sidley & Austin; Fernando Aenlle-Rocha, Partner, White & Case; and Robert Tercero, Senior Counsel, SEC Enforcement Division.
