Lori Lesser Wins 2008 Burton Award for Legal Achievement

Intellectual property partner Lori E. Lesser has been named a recipient of the prestigious Burton Award for Legal Achievement for her article, The Communications Decency Act at 10 -- New Issues for the Years Ahead, published in the inaugural issue of Bloomberg Intellectual Property Law Reports (February 2007). The article was produced with the assistance of litigation associate Lisa H. Rubin. The Burton Awards program, which honors the nation’s finest legal writers, is run in association with the Library of Congress Law Library. The entries are judged by an academic board led by Virginia Wise, a lecturer at Harvard Law School, Anne E. Kringel, Senior Lecturer on Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Grace Tonner, a professor of law and director of the Law School's Legal Practice Program, The Honorable Ed Forstenzer, a judge from California’s Superior Court, and William Ryan, a direct descendent of Noah Webster. The 2008 Burton Awards dinner will be held in the Library of Congress on June 16, 2008. Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court Stephen Gerald Breyer will be the guest speaker.
