Natalia Martín received the Cesar Perales Community Advocate Award from Brooklyn Law School's Latin American Law Students' Association at the group's Annual Alumni Dinner and Awards Ceremony held on April 9, 2008. The award recognized Natalia's role as a co-founder of the "Cafecitos", a series of networking breakfasts for Latina women attorneys in New York. The award is named after Cesar A. Perales, who is currently the President and General Counsel of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund.
