Duke Law School is honoring Simpson Thacher Counsel Jennifer Franklin with the Young Alumni Award for 2008. The award acknowledges an individual who has graduated within the last fifteen years, has distinguished himself or herself professionally, and has made significant contributions of leadership and service to the school. As part of her contribution to the Duke community, Ms. Franklin is involved in Future Forum, the Law School's leadership board for recent graduates. Future Forum examines the effectiveness of existing alumni programs with focus on the areas of admissions, career and professional development, alumni relations, and development. Through Future Forum, she advises students who have been admitted to the law school and mentors current law school students. Ms. Franklin has also assisted the Firm in its recruiting efforts at the school. She was Notes Editor for the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law, and received her J.D., Magna Cum Laude from Duke University School of Law in 1998. Ms. Franklin joined Simpson Thacher in 1998.
