Stephanie Shemin Speaks at Moot Court Kickoff Luncheon

On October 11, 2007, litigation associate Stephanie Shemin spoke at the kick-off luncheon for the Justice Resource Center's Mentor Moot Court competition, which is sponsored by Fordham University School of Law. For over twenty years, Simpson Thacher has coached and mentored students from Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay High School as they prepare for city-wide moot court and mock trial competitions. The first round of this year's moot court competition is scheduled for November 28. Last year, the Sheepshead Bay students advanced to the quarter finals in the Mentor Moot Court competition and placed in the top eight schools (out of 170) in the New York State High School Mock Trial Tournament.
