The Tokyo office of the Firm recently represented Sony Financial Holdings Inc. in connection with its initial public offering on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and global offering to institutional investors pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. The IPO included both shares sold by Sony Corporation as selling shareholder and new shares issued by Sony Financial Holdings and raised a total, including over-allotment shares, exceeding $3 billion. The joint global coordinators for the offering were Nomura Securities and J.P. Morgan.
Sony Financial Holdings, through its three main operating subsidiaries, offers life insurance, non-life insurance and banking services to retail customers in Japan.
