Simpson Thacher represented First Reserve in the sale of its portfolio company, Ohmstede Ltd., to EMCOR Group, Inc. for a purchase price of approximately $455 million. The transaction closed on September 19, 2007. Headquartered in Beaumont, Texas, Ohmstede is a provider of aftermarket maintenance and repair services, replacement parts and fabrication services for heat exchangers for the refinery and petrochemical industries.
