The Firm is advising Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. ("KKR") in its acquisition of Dollar General Corporation for $22 per share. The transaction was announced on March 12, 2007 and reflects a total enterprise value of approximately $7.3 billion (including the assumption of approximately $380 million of net debt). Dollar General is a Fortune 500® discount retailer with 8,260 neighborhood stores offering consumable basic items that are frequently used and replenished, such as food, snacks, health and beauty aids and cleaning supplies, as well as a selection of basic apparel, housewares and seasonal items at everyday low prices.
