The US Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services today granted an asylum petition briefed and argued by Simpson Thacher on behalf of a Tibetan refugee. This case is just one of many successes by Simpson Thacher lawyers who in recent months obtained asylum for dozens of clients from countries including Colombia, Burundi, Cote d'Ivoire, Tibet, China, Nepal, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia.
