Thomson publications this month released the Second Edition of McLaughlin on Class Actions: Law and Practice, a two volume treatise authored by litigation partner Joe McLaughlin. The First Edition was reviewed by one commentator as "the best synthesis of the law of class actions in years," and by another as "an essential and valuable component of every commercial litigator's library." The Second Edition is substantially expanded and updated, featuring extensive new text analyzing the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 and other class action developments in the 16 months since the publication of the First Edition.
