Simpson Thacher Represents Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG in Major DaimlerChrysler Project Finance and Synthetic Lease Transaction For Next Generation of Jeep Vehicles

Simpson Thacher recently represented Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG in connection with the structuring, arranging and financing of an approximately $191 million combined project finance and synthetic lease transaction relating to DaimlerChrysler Corporation, USA’s (“DCC”) first outsourcing supplier park in Toledo, Ohio, for the production of the next generation of the Jeep Wrangler model, the “JK” vehicle.  KUKA Toledo Production Operations LLC (“KTPO”) was appointed by DaimlerChrysler to build, operate and maintain the body shop for the “JK” vehicle.
