The Firm represents Goldman, Sachs & Co., financial advisor to ConocoPhillips in its proposed acquisition of Burlington Resources Inc., a major independent producer of natural gas, in a cash-and-stock deal worth $35.6 billion. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2006.
