Simpson Thacher represented Apprise Media LLC, a strategic management and investment company backed by private equity firm Spectrum Equity Investors, in its acquisition of Canon Communications LLC. Canon Communications is a leading provider of print publications, trade shows and digital media for the medical device manufacturing, packaging, plastics and electronics markets. The buyout closed May 31, 2005 and represented the first transaction Simpson Thacher has completed for Apprise and Spectrum.
