Tinu Awe has been appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation ("NHEF"). The NHEF, a New York not-for-profit, was established with funds provided by the John D. and Katherine T. MacArthur Foundation. The MacArthur Foundation established the NHEF in furtherance of its involvement in The Partnership for Higher Education in Africa ("PHEA"). The MacArthur, Rockefeller, and Ford Foundations as well as the Carnegie Corporation of New York are partners in the PHEA. The NHEF will seek out and collaborate with individuals and institutions interested in funding and improving the quality of higher education in Nigeria. It will also continue to support MacArthur's interests in the PHEA in Nigeria. At a recent meeting of the Board of Trustees, Tinu was appointed treasurer of the NHEF.
