Simpson Thacher Ranks First in Latin America M&A in H1 2024

Todd Crider, Head of the Firm’s Latin America Practice, was quoted in an article highlighting that Simpson Thacher ranked first for completed M&A matters in Latin America during the first six months of 2024. Todd explained that the Latin American region is benefiting from “relative geopolitical stability” and “advantages in terms of U.S. nearshoring.” When looking forward to the remainder of the year and beyond, he further explained that, “The LatAm region is resilient and we remain optimistic. There is enormous opportunity in infrastructure and Mexico should continue to be a bright spot.”
