Corporate Partners Naveed Anwar and Jennifer Levitt were named 2021 “West Trailblazers” by The American Lawyer. The series recognizes practitioners in the West who have moved the needle in the legal industry.

Naveed was profiled for advising on complex new and emerging deal structures, including representing a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) on a de-SPAC transaction just two months after its IPO, which was an incredibly accelerated timeline. Naveed noted that for some companies, SPACS may not only be a good alternative to IPOs, but may also serve as a faster route for those companies to become public.

Jennifer was recognized for helping clients navigate the liquidity crisis at the beginning of the pandemic, which resulted in an increase in the use of net asset value facilities. Jen explained NAV financings reflect a growing sophistication in the market for bespoke financings at different stages of an investment fund’s lifecycle.
