Simpson Thacher Recognized as Top Global M&A Advisor for 2022 by Bloomberg and Refinitiv

Eric Swedenburg, Head of the Firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice, was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article titled, “Simpson Thacher Tops M&A Advisers Chart in Down Year for Deals.” The article highlighted that the Firm “dominated” Bloomberg’s M&A league tables in 2022, “expanding its share of the lucrative work” and advising on 196 deals worth nearly $424 billion, including two of the biggest deals of the year. Eric said, “We are gratified that our clients have continued to turn to us throughout the past year during what was a changing M&A marketplace.” The Firm was also recognized in The American Lawyer and Reuters for being ranked first for total M&A principal adviser work in 2022 in Refinitiv’s league tables.
