Alan Klein, Mergers & Acquisitions Partner and former Co-Head of Simpson Thacher’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, was profiled by Business Insider as being one of the 29 leading M&A lawyers as identified by the publication for his work advising some of the world’s biggest companies on billion-dollar, blockbuster deals. The article highlighted Alan’s recent role advising Microsoft on its $19.7 billion acquisition of Nuance, as well as advising the company on other market-shaping acquisitions including of LinkedIn, Nokia’s phone business and Skype, and its investment in Barnes & Noble’s Nook business. The publication also noted his work on ChemChina’s $43 billion acquisition of Syngenta and Tyco’s $20 billion merger with Johnson Controls.
