Corporate Partners Rajib Chanda and Matt Einbinder were named “Trailblazers” for 2021 by The American Lawyer in the edition focused on the Southern region. The series recognizes practitioners in the region who have made an impact on the legal industry.

Rajib was profiled for playing a leading role in democratizing access to private market investments by individual investors. He explained that the Firm has advised Blackstone and KKR, among many others, in developing products that have been called “category-killing” and “revolutionary.” “Effectively, our clients have found ways to meet the demand for democratized access to private markets in some asset classes. And we’re still in the laboratory working on ways to expand that access even further,” he said.

Matt was recognized for pushing forward legal technology in energy financing using his knowledge of LBOs, the corporate leverage loan market and project financing. He noted that, in the future “private equity firms…will use the legal technology built over the last decade to serve as the starting spot for new financial structures as they bring their capital and expertise to further support critical infrastructure and to facilitate the flow of capital to next generation energy projects.”
