Corporate Associate Yafit Cohn moderated a panel titled “Proxy 2017: Trends from 2016 and a Look Ahead” at the ABA Business Law Section’s 2016 Fall meeting on November 18. The program, sponsored by the Corporate Governance Committee of the ABA’s Business Law Section, analyzed noteworthy developments of the 2016 proxy season, including say-on-pay results, proxy access adoption trends, trends relating to environmental and political proposals, recent SEC guidance and noteworthy no-action letters, and covered expected trends, developments and proxy advisory firm guidance for 2017. The panelists included Arthur Crozier, chairman of Innisfree M&A Incorporated; John Roe, Managing Director, Head of ISS Analytics at ISS Corporate Solutions, Inc.; and Tom Kim, partner at Sidley Austin LLP.
