Primavera Capital Group Closes Acquisitions of Nobel Learning Communities and of Certain Assets of LePort Schools

The Firm represented Primavera Capital Group and its portfolio company Spring Education Group, the largest preK-12 private school operator in the U.S., in connection with their acquisition of Nobel Learning Communities and of certain southern California-based campuses of LePort Schools. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

Primavera Capital Group is an Asia-based investment management firm. Founded by Dr. Fred Hu, a renowned economist and prominent investor, and formerly a partner and Chairman of Greater China at Goldman Sachs Group, Primavera’s investment team has over 30 professionals with global investment, M&A and capital market experience. Primavera targets investments in the education, financial services, consumer, healthcare and TMT sectors, where it has significant expertise and experience.

Nobel Learning Communities operates a network of over 190 private schools across 19 states in the United States. The company also has an accredited online private school, Laurel Springs, that offers college preparatory programs to students from over 80 countries worldwide.
