The Firm was recognized across several categories as part of The Deal Awards 2021, which honored deals and dealmakers for their work on market-shaping transactions over the past year. Simpson Thacher was named “Financial Services Law Firm of the Year,” and the Firm’s representation of TD Bank in the sale of its affiliate TD Ameritrade to Schwab for $26 billion was named “Financial Services Deal of the Year.” In addition, Simpson Thacher was recognized for advising J.P. Morgan as financial advisor to Sprint in its completed merger with T-Mobile, which was awarded “Deal of the Year,” and for representing Lon Operations, doing business as Bread, in connection with its acquisition by Alliance Data Systems which was named “FinTech Deal of the Year.”
